Smart Scale records and
tracks weight changes

STEP 1

PREPARATION
FOR CONNECTION

  • Prepare the scale, a smartphone, and a WiFi router.

  • Connect to WiFi when in strong signal or near the WiFi router.

  • Please scan the QR code with a compatible smartphone and download the KAKAO FRIENDS HOME app.

STEP 2

ACTIVATION

  1. Turn to open the cap in the center on the bottom of the scale and insert batteries.

  2. Place the scale on a hard, flat surface.

  3. To activate the scale, briefly stand on top of it and then step off.

  4. The screen will display 0.0 when activated.

STEP 3

LOGIN

  1. Turn on the KAKAO FRIENDS HOME app, and press [Start with KakaoTalk]. You can start immediately via email or your KakaoTalk account.

STEP 4

CONNECTING
TO WiFi

  1. After opening the center cap on the bottom of the scale, press and hold the WiFi Reset button for 5 seconds.

  2. Select [Connect the Device] on the KAKAO FRIENDS HOME.

  3. Follow the instruction on the screen to connect to WiFi.

  4. Enjoy a healthy lifestyle with Smart Scale.

USE WITHOUT
LINKING ACCOUNT

  1. Turn to open the cap in the center on the bottom of the scale and insert batteries.

  2. Place the scale on a hard, flat surface.

  3. Activate the scale by stepping onto the scale before measurement.

  4. The screen will display 0.0 when activated.

TO MEASURE ACCURATELY

  • Correct posture

    Step on the scale and place your feet around the scale bowl as pictured below.

  • Wrong posture

    If you step on the scale in a different manner, the scale may tilt or the measurement may be inaccurate. If you stand on the one corner of the scale, yorisk falling over.

FAQ

  • Nothing is showing on the screen.

    The scale may be out of battery. Please replace the batteries.

  • My scale is not working, even with new batteries.

    Please check that you have placed the + and – in the correct positions. Please replace the batteries.

  • I cannot connect to WiFi.

    Make sure that the router is working properly, then reconnect from a nearby location. Press the reset button to reset the WiFi on the bottom of the product.

  • The firmware is not updating.

    Firmware updates will not work if the battery level is less than 30%. Please replace the battery.

  • My weight is not being measured properly.

    Please place the scale on a hard and flat surface.

  • The scale is dirty.

    Please wipe with a dry towel to prevent water from getting inside the body of the device.

PRECAUTIONS

  • Due to the nature of the material, it is vulnerable to sunlight.

  • Do not place the product in direct sunlight.

  • The material is subject to discoloration.

  • Remove the batteries out when not in use for a long period of time.

  • Use a dry towel to clean the product and make sure that water does not get inside the body of the device.

  • Do not disassemble, fix, or alter.

  • Do not use in a place where excessive electromagnetic waves are generated.

  • Hold the main, cloud-shaped part with both hands when moving the product.

  • Please make sure the product is not subject to excessive impact.

REPAIR POLICIES & REGULATIONS

Free services are available for products in which an abnormality occurs within one year of the date of purchase. After the Customer Care/Service Team checks the product and determines it to be defective, the defective product will be replaced with an identical product. However, free repair services are only available with the provision of the product warranty, purchase receipt, and serial number. The free repair services do not apply in the following cases.

  • Change in mind after opening the package or if a part is missing at the time of repair.

  • Damages caused by using product for anything other than its purpose or abuse of the product.

  • Damages caused by altering, modifying, or fixing the product.

  • Damages caused by external factors such as natural disasters.

  • Minor defects that do not interfere with use.

  • Discoloration and wearing out due to the environment or wear and tear.

  • Damages caused by user
    (while moving, dropping, causing shock, damaging, misusing, water damage, etc.)

PAID SERVICE

In the case that repairs are required due to user negligence, any service fees (repair costs, return shipping costs) will be charged to the customer.
